| Our conference hotel is located at the top of the Chicago Mart Plaza, overlooking the Chicago River and downtown Chicago. This riverside location offers some of the best views of the city, as well as easy access to all the city has to offer. For exercise enthusiasts, the hotel provides an on-site fitness center and indoor swimming pool, and also maintains a list of nearby jogging trails. Visit the hotel website for additional information and details on amenities. The hotel lobby is located on the 15th floor of the building. Lower floors of the building house prominent tenants including the Chicago Sun Times and the Apparel Center. A skybridge on the 2nd floor of the complex connects the building to the Merchandise Mart and shops at the Mart. Note that there are two Holiday Inns in downtown Chicago and that ours is the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza. |

| LODGING INFORMATIONGROUP BOOKING CODE: EPC A block of rooms has been reserved for conference participants at a group rate of $192 per night, plus tax (15.4%). This rate is valid for occupancy of up to four guests per room. Our official room block is established for Saturday, June 14 to Wednesday, June 18, but requests for earlier arrivals and later departures are welcomed by the hotel and will be accommodated at conference rates, so long as space is available. Reservation Deadline: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 Rooms will be held until rented, or the reservation cut-off date, May 14, 2008. After that date, any rooms that have not been reserved will be released for general sale. The hotel will continue to accept reservations from attendees after the cut-off date, based on room and rate availability. Reservation, Room Guarantee/Cancellation Procedures Guests are responsible for making their own reservations and guaranteeing them with credit card or first night’s reservation fee. If a reservation must be cancelled, the hotel must be notified by 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival in order to avoid being billed for the first night’s stay. Online reservations - Go to the “Reservations” section of the hotel website (www.martplaza.com). To confirm our group rate, select “Corporate, Group & IATA,” after indicating your preferred reservation dates and fill in our Group Booking Code, EPC, in the related field. Phone reservations - Call 312-836-5000 for reservations (between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. CST). To ensure our group rate, be sure to indicate that you are with the “UIUC/RILEM Conference on Cracking Pavements,” or provide our Group Booking Code: EPC. GOVERNMENT RATES A government rate is not available through the conference room block, but, subject to availability, it may be possible to confirm a government rate through the hotel's general reservation system.
