This short course will explain the research findings from ICT project R27-3.

Course participants will learn:

1)    The structural design and construction guidelines for ultra-thin whitetopping (UTW) along with the appropriate concrete material requirements to achieve a design of the intended service life.

2)    How to structurally design UTW pavement types, run the UTW structural design program and select the appropriate inputs, select the appropriate concrete materials to use in the design, and how to write a material and construction specification to achieve the design life intended.
