ICT Researchers Receive Scholarships

Amanda Bordelon and Matt Beyer, both ICT student researchers, were recently awarded scholarships.

Bordelon, a Ph.D. candidate at UIUC is the recipient of the 2007 Bryant Mather scholarship sponsored by ASTM International Committee C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates. She has worked with Principal Investigator Jeff Roesler on ICT project R27-3 (Design & Concrete Material Requirements for Ultra-Thin Whitetopping Procedures). Bordelon is president of the American Concrete Institute student chapter.

Beyer, a Graduate Research Assistant at UIUC, has won the 2007-2008 Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association Fellowship. He has worked with Professor Roesler on ICT project R57 (Evaluation & Implementation of Improved CRCP & JPCP Design).
